THE 2CV
Conceived in the 1930’s, around 250 prototypes were built before a little man called Hitler got in the way of well laid plans. After the war many changes were made but the car launched at the 1948 Paris Motor Show gave rather more than a nod to those pre-war prototypes.
The 2cv changed very little between its 1948 launch and the end of production in 1990. However the car was refined and spawned a number of variants including commercial vans and a twin engined 4×4 version. Engine capacity increased from 325cc to a heady 602cc!
