This is the closest thing you will get to a brand new 2cv!
Don’t worry if you do not own a 2cv we can supply one for a small cost from our stock.
We are the only 2cv specialist that can supply and fit brand new left or right hand drive Bodyshells.
Our brand new bodyshells are Electrophoretic Coated (Cataphorese). This process is the same as all modern cars go though.
Only our bodyshell or drip and have a Original Citroen windscreen surround and rear light panel welded in.

All body panels also go through the same process as the body.
The body panels (pictured) are all made on the original Citroën tooling.
The Process - 2cv Rebuild with New Body and Panels
Now for the important bit… Just because we have all brand new body and panels doesn’t mean it’s not going to become rusty. We therefore employ a 6 Stage process to prevent your 2cv going rusty.
Stage 1.
We have a lovey brand new bodyshell. The first thing we do is apply seam sealer to every seam on the 2cv and then underseal the underside of the 2cv to give it the best possible protection.
Stage 2.
From here the 2CV is taken into our Body Shop where we apply a thin coat of filler to take out any small blemishes.
Stage 3.
Once we are happy, we go on to apply a coat of high quality etch primer, followed by 3 coats of high build primer.
Stage 4.
The high build primer is then sanded down to give a smooth base for the colour coat.
Stage 5.
Then 3 colour coats are applied. The paint that we use is of a high quality and will not fade over a few years as a lot of the cheaper paints do.
Stage 6.
Once all the above is done. We then cavity wax inject all of the cavity in all the panels and bodyshell.
Stage 7.
Whilst all of the above stages are underway the running gear, engine and chassis gets stripped down. All the running gear is shot blasted and painted.
We start with the Chassis, the only chassis we fit to our rebuilds is made by Mehari Club Cassis on Original Citroen Tooling (see video below showing how the chassis is manufactured) and is the only chassis made under licence from Citroen, it comes with a life time guarantee. It is fully approved all over Europe unlike the other chassis’ made in the UK.
All of the running gear is overhauled, i.e. wheel bearings, kingpins, shock absorbers, all new brakes (shoes, pads, discs, wheel cylinders, rebuilt front callipers, all new brake pipes), reconditioned steering rack, coil, starter motor, alternator, fuel line, fuel tank sender, etc. etc. A reconditioned gear box is fitted, we can also fit a fully rebuilt engine which is completely rebuilt by Mehari club Cassis (see video below).
Stage 8.
We will then fit the body to the chassis and reassemble the 2CV to your specification, Re-assembling your 2CV will take about 150 hours, and in total time to rebuild will take approximately 350 hours.
Stage 9.
Once we have fully reassembled your 2CV for you, we will have it MOT’d and then test drive it. before you collect it. All rebuilt 2CVs come with a 1 year parts and labour warranty.

Before any work can commence, we spend time discussing your personal requirements with you and we can give you a tour around our workshops showing you every stage in the process of rebuilding your 2cv. There are not many places now where you can have a say in the specification of your car before it is built for you, visit it at any point in its process, have photographs taken of it through the stages, choose the colour of your seats, roof, the colour of the 2cv itself, plus choose from many options available to you. At the end of the process you will be the proud owner of a beautiful classic 2cv that you can drive on a daily basis.
